THE ROLE

ONA is seeking a passionate and provocative Brand Strategist to bring stories to life. You are an empathetic and intuitive human who has an excellent grasp of culture and the world at large. Big ideas both scare and excite you. And you have the courage and foresight to create meaningful, culture-defining work.

 

WHAT YOU'D DO

  • Be the voice for the brand, leading the development of breakthrough creative work for clients, ensuring they are brilliant expressions of the strategy

  • Articulate complex ideas in a concise yet compelling way

  • Research the market to identify new opportunities for our clients

  • Develop big-picture strategies and marketing plans that align with a brand's goals and objectives

  • Constantly obsess new problems for a client's brand to solve

  • Build a relationship with clients that is positive and productive

  • Challenge clients' assumptions - Lead debates around the client's business strategy, digital strategy, and communications strategy

  • Have an intuition to know when to push a client to go out of their comfort zone

  • Obsessed with your client's audience(s) and have a keen understanding of what makes them tick

  • Craft engaging campaigns highlighting the story and benefits of a brand to engage their consumers

  • Develop observations into provocative, surprising insights

  • Create decks, develop compelling copy and detailed strategy documents that can clearly explain the reasoning behind strategic decisions, showing the client why this strategy will achieve their desired results

  • Follow and predict trends to develop strategies that succeed in a changing marketplace and anticipate shifting customer profiles

  • Lead strategy on a new business pitch from start to finish, including pitch meetings

  • Lead client meetings

  • Lead creative team to develop ideas that help move the needle forward for our clients

  • Conduct research, analyze data, and shape the brand narrative

  • Brief in creatives and help brainstorm creative ideas and then bring them to life

  • Set specific marketing goals that align with the overall direction and business goals

  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously from beginning to end

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience w/ portfolio.

  • 4+ years work experience with 1+ years in Brand Strategy work
